Library-By-Mail (Avalon property owners only): You can request library materials to be mailed to you by using our online catalog's "Library Mail" option or calling us at 609-967-7155.

Remote Access (All patrons): You can select from a wide range of audiobooks, eBooks, videos, and music available for streaming and download through our website here.
Assistive Listening & CART Services
The Library and History Center can provide a mobile assistive listening system. Please let us know in advance if you are planning to attend a program and need this service to ensure that the proper equipment is available for you.
The Library and History Center will provide CART and signing services during programs if assisted listening devices do not meet the patrons needs. To ensure service is available, advance notice is necessary.
NJ State Library Talking Book & Braille Center
Avalon Free Public Library is an "Outspoken Library", an affiliate of the New Jersey State Library's Talking Book and Braille Center (TBBC). If you have problems reading printed books due to physical impairment, reading disability or vision challenge, we can help connect you with services which include:
- Audiobooks
- Audio Magazines
- The Library of Congress's Braille and Audiobook Downloads (BARD)
- Digital book players and apps
