American women participated in the Civil War in many roles, some far outside the usual perception of women of that era. We hear almost nothing about these women in traditional history classes. In this presentation, learn about New Jersey women and others, the Saints and Sinners, who rallied for abolition, supported the Union cause and assumed non-traditional roles during this period of history.
