Great Thinkers and Modern Science

Dr. Jacobson will explore ideas of wisdom by many world-class thinkers and experts through a multidisciplinary approach in a survey discussion group. The class will examine the connective thread from Pythagoras to modern science experiments. Hand-outs will highlight theories from Pythagoras, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, Bacon, Descartes, Newton, Hobbs, Locke, Nietzche, Darwin, Marx, Freud, and the Computer Age. DVD programs will discuss modern science theories. Class discussion will connect the wisdom of the ages to modern life.
