Andrew Lubin is a Bucks County, PA author who will be presenting a lecture, “Embedding in Iraq and Afghanistan”, based on his visits to Marine, Army, and National Guard troops, on Wednesday, July 7 at 7 p.m. Lubin is an independent foreign correspondent for the U.S. Marine Corps and the author of two books, Charlie Battery: A Marine Artillery Battery in Iraq and Keep Moving or Die: Task Force Tarawa at An-Nasiriyah. He also co-authored Uncle John Salutes the Armed Forces and writes on current events and international relations, appearing in magazines such as Jane’s Intelligence Review, Leatherneck, and Proceedings.
Andrew has appeared on ABC, CNN, FOX, and Patriot Media and is a regular guest on WOR Radio, 710 AM. He is a former teacher, has been a keynote speaker at Fort Leavenworth, KS, and writes book reviews for Leatherneck Magazine and Midwest Book Review.
Lubin will be speaking about his latest 5-week trip to Afghanistan at his lecture on the 7th. He will also be signing his book Charlie Battery; A Marine Artillery Battery in Iraq, which won the 2007 Gold Medal for best Military Non-Fiction from the Military Writers Society of America and Best Memoir from the University of Virginia’s “Festival of Books". |
