Bestselling Author Lee Child to visit Avalon Library in Summer 2014

will visit Avalon Library
Wednesday, July 16 at 7 p.m.
AVALON- the Avalon Free Public Library is pleased to announce New York Times bestselling author Lee Child will speak on Wednesday, July 16 at 7 p.m. in the Avalon Elementary School auditorium as part of the library’s 2014 Summer Author Series. Child is the author of 18 books, including six #1 bestsellers. He won both the Anthony and Barry awards for Best First Mystery for his debut, Killing Floor, and the Barry and Nero awards for Best Novel for The Enemy. Lee will speak for approximately 45 minutes with a Q&A and book signing to follow. Three titles of his books will be available for sale on the evening of the event, Never Go Back, A Wanted Man, and The Affair.
No tickets are required and the event is free and open to the public. Seating will be on a first-come-first served basis; beginning at 6 p.m.
The Avalon Library received 5 stars in Library Journal’s national rating of public libraries, based on statistical performance data collected by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The Avalon Library is one of only three libraries in New Jersey to receive the 5-Star designation six times since 2009.
